Glazing Machine LG10
Glazing Plant 2011
This plant has been designed specially for glazing cups and small bowls in high quantities but can also be used for glazing flatware like plates and platters. Very high output rates can be reached when glazing cups and small bowls on this machine. When glazing larger-sized articles it is possible to use only every second glazing pot, in which case the machine’s output rate will decrease accordingly.
The machine features ten (10) glazing pots arranged on a lifting & lowering beam. The glaze dipping process is controlled via two user-programmable numerical axes, which allows glazing of every article type with an article-specific dipping sequence.
When glazing hollowware, especially cups and articles with high rims, it is important to lift the articles vertically out of the glaze tub after dipping to avoid the occurrence of “scooping effects” (i.e. residual glaze drops inside the hollowware).
Machine loading & unloading is fully automatic, using tandem manipulator. After glazing the article bases are sponged by a twin sponging belt.
It is also possible to equip the plant with an additional rim sponging function (for cups to receive crimped rims or cups fired on setters).
When glazing small-sized articles, the machine is capable of achieving an output rate of up to 1,600 articles per hour.
By means of an additional turning station and a second sponging belt it is also possible to glaze cups which are paired rim-to-rim afterwards.
