MODEL F.100 Single wire flattening

Wire Flatteners Comments Off

MODEL F.100 Single wire flattening photo wire flattenersThe machine F. 100 ,is able to flatten, to straighten and to wind on the final spool a single round wire at very fast speed (till 10 meters per second). The machine is provided of all the electronical controls, it is served by brushless motors and digital invertes, and can work starting from big spools of round wires located in static position on floor.
The machine, to can utilize also wires on coil, can be equipped with a motorized revolving platform, (where to lay the coils of round wire), syncronized with the flattening and with the spooling groups.

The re spooling machine Model E. 30, is suitable to rewind the round wire from big spools of 1000 kg. to smaller spools from 30 to 250 kg. each one on customer necessity. The smaller spools produced with this machine, can be utilized in our multiwires flattening and banding lines to produce glued band. This machine can work also starting from wires on coils, (see picture below). In this way our customers can buy round wire from any wire supplier, (also from the Asian wire manufacturers that has difficoult to supply wire on spools). Thanks to the perfect electronical syncronism between the unwinder and the winding group, and the precise electronical tension control of the wires, (obtained through the utilization of brushless motors and digital inverters of new generation), the final winding quality on spools of the wire is resulting suitable to can be utilized without problems on our multiwires flattening and banding lines.

WF-100 Wire Flattener

Wire Flatteners Comments Off

WF 100 Wire Flattener photo wire flattenersThe powerful Broomfield WF-100 Wire Flattener can be used in-line with a coil winding machine to flatten round copper or aluminum wire. Because the unit is totally self-contained, it can be installed with any existing winding machine. A dancer control coordinates the wire flattening speed to the wire winding speed and provides consistent wire tension. With larger flattening wheels and dancer assembly pulleys than our WF-50, larger copper or aluminum wires may be flattened. This stand-alone system requires no connections to the winder or wire dereeler.

Since round wire is typically less expensive than shaped conductor, significant savings may be realized if designs requiring square or rectangular wire are wound with round wire but processed through the Broomfield Wire Flattener during winding.

It is generally held that most small to medium diameter film coated magnet wire can be flattened to approximately 60% of its original thickness without harming the insulation. This percentage however, will rise as the wire approaches 8 AWG and larger. The Broomfield WF-100 Wire Flattener can produce flattened conductor within its flattening range and is motor driven to have sufficient power and speed to keep up with high winding speeds.
Features

Requires no integration with a winding machine.
Heavy-Duty welded steel construction.
Easy to change flattening size.
Fine adjustment for more precision sizing.
Consistent wire tension.
Accommodates winding machine acceleration and deceleration.
Dancer carriage accumulates wire and reduces negative effects from high speed winding on rectangular coils.

Wire Range Handled: 16 AWG (.0524″) (1.33mm) to 5 AWG (.1848″) (4.7mm).

Flattening Range: .030″ (.76mm) to .165″ (4.19mm).

Wire Processing Speed: Variable up to 1,500 ft/min. (7.62m/sec.).

Drive System: 15 hp (11.19Kw) AC Motor.

Input Requirements: Electrical: 460 volts, three phase, 30amps.
Other voltages available.

WW-30 wire flattener

Wire Flatteners Comments Off

WW 30 wire flattener photo wire flattenersThe wire flattener WW-30 serves for flattening of round wire. With the two independent and separately driven flatteners two wires, also with different speeds, wire-diameter of flattening depths can be produced simultaneously. By the infinitely variable speed gear drive, adjustable between 0 to 30m/min, the speed will be adjusted by sampling control system to the following machine or spooling equipment.

With special equipment also easier profiles or round wire can be flattened. The hard metal equipped feeding rolls can be adjusted precisely to the required flattening depth. Helical geared and hardened toothed wheels guarantee a clean flattening. The double sided taper roller bearing of the feed rolls meet at any time the high static and dynamic stress.
