Strain Viewer/ Polariscope

Polariscopes No comments »

Strain Viewer/ Polariscope photo polariscopesThe polariscope is for viewing strain patterns in glass and other transparent material, such as might be created during manufacturing or heating processes. With a huge viewing field, this backlit polariscope can be integrated right into your production environment to save time and money. Catch strain induced flaws before they catch you.

Use with viewing screen or combine with clip-on glasses. Large viewing surface (3 feet across) makes it easy to check large objects quickly. Can be mounted behind a production line or conveyor.

6″ Bench Polariscope Model 243

Polariscopes No comments »

6 Bench Polariscope Model 243 photo polariscopesThe Polariscope is an essential tool for determining strain patterns developed during fabrication and manufacturing. It permits immediate determination of strains in most transparent materials. It is valuable in production or as a laboratory tool wherever glass is fabricated, welded or bent. Check liquid in glass thermometers for stress and strains.

As polarized light travels through strained glass or plastic, it undergoes a retardation proportional to the amount of stress. A Polariscope is an instrument which can be used to qualitatively view this retardation.

Little Hand Torch

Torches No comments »

Little Hand Torch photo torchesThe “Little Torch” is a quality pre-mix hand torch designed to meet the exacting industrial standards for a small multi-purpose torch and is backed by over 50 years of experience in the manufacturing of equipment. The “Little Torch” is just a fraction wider and longer than the average middle finger and the balanced, rugged aluminum alloy body weighs only 1.5 ounces.

It has a variety of tips available that allows an infinite variety of flame settings up to 6300° F. Because of the extraordinary small orifice size of tips 1, 2 and 3, each is fitted with a synthetic sapphire to assure accurate gas flow and improved flame characteristics. This is an exclusive feature of the “Little Torch.” The “Little Torch” is listed by Underwriters Laboratory.
